Week Seven Discussion

Q Last week, you generated lists of hazards that are commonly seen in aviation operations. This week, we're going to work on a little more on risk assessment - that is, determining a numerical value based on the severity and likelihood of each risk factor. Then, we're going to work to develop controls for some of these risks. So, your task is to: 1) For the 10 hazards you identified last week, use the risk matrix to determine both the severity and likelihood of that risk (clearest example of this can be seen in the Australian SMS Chapter 3 link from last week). Once those numbers are determined, take your top 3 hazards, and develop a list of controls for those hazards. Share both your hazard list/risk assessment for all 10 of your hazards, as well as your proposed controls for your top 3, with your classmates this week.
